Credit Repair Organization Act (CROA) - was put in place to protect consumers from unfair business practices performed by credit repair organizations.

Federal Trade Commission (FTC) - is an independent agency of the United States government that primary mission is consumer protection, and the prevention and elimination of harmful anti-competitive business practices.
